Techincal Difficulties

Something happended to our blog and I lost the previous posts. I was able to recover the original one, which was my favorite. Sorry about the technical mishap. Moving forward... Ethan is now eight weeks old. He's a happy and very smiley little guy. I can tell if something interests him because his blue eyes become very round. He stares intently at amazing things such as the spindles on the staircase and carpet fibers.

He is a morning person and typically wakes at 6AM. He's very alert then and loves to sit on our laps while we munch breakfast. Unfortunately, his morning hyperactivity means that I don't get to comb my hair or change out of my pajamas until around mid-afternoon, but he doesn't seem to mind. He is also a very forgiving person, because he didn't balk at wearing his Green Bay Packers onsie the day after their embarrassing loss/es.

He tends to sleep in the 'I didn't do it' position with his hands over his head. We painted his room with bright colored trees, birds, and butterflies. We want him to appreciate the outdoors and love animals as much as we do.

Ethan got to see mommy and daddy riding in the Jeep. For those of you who don't know, Heath's been fixing up this jeep for years. It's his dream to share it with his child. Ethan didn't have his first ride yet (no car seat).

Grandma and Grandpa Hendricks came out to visit--their second time since his birth. We did many fun things such as going to the zoo. Ethan slept most of the time, but already he had the opportunity to see wildlife.

During Grandma and Grandpa's visit we also went on a family picnic at Mount Falcon. We spent the afternoon hanging out, playing games, and enjoying the beautiful scenery. We love sharing these experiences with him.

We love him so much. It really is beyond words.
