Exciting times in the Hendricks household. So much has happened it's difficult to know where to begin.
First of all, Ethan had his two month well baby appointment. Doc said that he is perfectly healthy. Mom, however, is a nervous wreck from having to pin him down so that the nurse could give him four immunization shots in the leg (ouch!). He's now a whopping 12.75 oz. and 21.5 inches. Ethan discovered his right hand last week and has rediscovered it every morning since. He bats at his toys and often talks to them in baby gurgle language.
Auntie Marlou came out for a visit in mid-September and threw the world's best baby shower. Ethan now knows how much he is loved. They say that it takes a village to raise a child and I loved introducing him to his village people. I'll post the pics later..
Marcelle's parents and brother, Chet, came out for a visit at the begining of October.
The weather was hot and sunny so we were able to fulfill our annual tradition of going to the pumpkin patch. Mom didn't have to carry 50 lb. pumpkins to the car this year since she was carrying her very own lil' pumpkin. You can see mom holding Ethan in his baby carrier. He is wearing a cute jack o'lantern outfit. Halloween is our favorite holiday after Christmas and Marcelle's birthday. Heath toyed with the idea of taking him trick-or-treating, but Marcelle insists that his scam to get free candy won't work. She believes that the child has to at least have teeth before they can go trick-or-treating.
We also went to the butterfly pavillion, which is a place where visitors can view insects. They have a greenhouse filled with butterflies. Ethan had colorful butterflies landing on him and he even got to see Uncle Chet and mom hold a tarantula!
Ethan has had many visitors and loves all of them. Here is a pic of Miss Kayla holding him for the first time.

Looks like you have a big boy on your hands, and Ethan is getting big too! We thought the Jeep was purple, was that 3 incarnations ago?
Sounds like you guys are having fun, have a great month!
